I started playing drums when I was 12 years old when my big brother
bought an old mismatched drum set for $50.00 and said "Don't touch
'em". Since then I’ve been playing drums and involved in
music in most every capacity. I studied music theory in high school
and college, as well as taking classes like Concert choir and both Jazz
and Concert band. I started playing nightclubs and concerts when I was
fifteen and worked in Minneapolis with countless different bands and
artists both live and in the studio eventually having the privilege
of recording for, among others: Prince,
with producer Ricky
Peterson. I’ve worked extensively with Ricky over the years
as a drummer/singer and as his musical director on the road. I’ve
also worked on many projects with artist/producer St.
Paul Peterson out at Paisley Park Studios. These guys are amazing.
I worked in Minneapolis for many years until moving to Los Angeles in
October of ‘96 where I’ve been contacted by artists like
Boz Scaggs and
Country Superstar Bryan
White for touring and session work. I started touring with Bryan
and LeAnn Rimes in December
of '97 and have performed on drums as well as percussion on his last
two LP's. I'm presently performing with Bryan in venues across the country
and around the world as well as doing one offs with Sax legend David
Sanborn. I currently live in the Los Angeles area and am
available for touring and studio work both nationally and internationally.
I read music and am equipped with acoustic, electronic, and sampling
gear. For more info on recording go to my other site
www.professionaldrumtracks.com. I play Yamaha
Drumheads and use Impact
Cases, and Modern
Case Co. for custom road cases and am proud to be involved
with such great companies as an endorser.
